Yes, an appointment with the eye doctor, is still a medical appointment, and we’d love to provide your transportation and prevent any missed medical appointments. Whether you need to see an optician, optometrist, or ophthalmologist, we will have you covered. At Med Transit, LLC., we have your best interest at heart. We offer patient care rides to and from non-emergency medical appointments. We’ll be there for you from bedside to doctorside. That means you’ll be in the care of our highly trained, courteous drivers, from the time we arrive until you’re checked into your appointment, or until you are safely back home.
What is our Public Medical Transit Service Good for?
Our patient care rides are optimal for individuals who are visually impaired, who may not be able to drive to their appointments or otherwise secure a ride. Our kind staff members are trained to help you, if you have any limitations, including a visual impairment, we can be of assistance.
If you’ve recently lost your glasses and need to see the optician or optometrist to get fitted for new glasses, or to fill a prescription for your glasses, you may need transportation to and from your appointment. If you’re required to drive with glasses, it may be a safer option to get a ride. Don’t put yourself or others in danger, we’re here to help when you need us.
If you’re expecting to have your eyes dilated and don’t feel comfortable driving home afterwards, you may want to arrange for a patient care ride. Eye drops used in dilation of the eyes can cause different effects for different individuals, but may make it difficult for you to see nearby objects. Side effects of dilation could last up to several hours. Only your doctor can tell you directly whether you should or shouldn’t drive. However, if you’re more comfortable planning not to drive, you can always give us a call.
